The Problem

The university curriculum does not always provide students with practical experiences and project portfolios showcasing their abilities to produce technical solutions with a team of diverse talents and work on their interpersonal skills.

The Idea

• Provide students with opportunities to work on well-defined software projects in collaboration with departments on campus in a team setting with mentorship from industry professionals. Consequently, we’re helping to bridge the gap between courses and industry.
• Provide students with the experience of project acquisition, management, and client contact to develop their interpersonal skills.

The Structure

Roclab is an affiliate of UofR’s CSUG comprised of an E-Board and Project teams.

• E-Board: Defines the vision and the direction of the club.
• Project Teams: Developers, Designers, and Marketers collaborate with departments to build meaningful solutions

What we are up to...

• About to release a project soon in collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Research.
• Forming connections with departments across campus to create a flow of projects.
